Brite Green is holding a webinar with EAUC at 12pm on the 9th June to discuss the findings of our university carbon report, hear case studies from university energy and estates managers, and set out our methodology for the 2013/14 data review.
In April Brite Green published a report which analysed progress of the higher education sector against their 2020 targets. Our analysis found that whilst many institutions have delivered reductions, the sector as a whole is not on track to achieve the absolute carbon reduction target of 43% set by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
The report has stimulated wide-ranging discussion about carbon management within the sector, especially in relation to targets, approaches to carbon reduction and published emissions data.
In association with the EAUC, Brite Green will be holding a webinar on the 9th June to continue the discussion about emissions performance and explore the challenges and opportunities faced by energy and environment managers in achieving carbon reductions.
The webinar will cover three key themes:
- Overview of the key findings from the university carbon report
- Case studies from universities who have achieved significant carbon reductions, including Jonathan Mills from Lancaster University and Graham Barton from the Royal Agricultural University
- The methodology for the forthcoming analysis of 2013/14 emissions data.
We hope you can join us for this webinar and look forward to your contribution to the 2013/14 data analysis consultation.
Date: Tuesday 9th June 2015
Time: 12:00 - 13:00
Attendance: The webinar is open to EAUC Members.
