Brite Green publish a wide ranging review of carbon reduction performance in the higher education sector. The analysis reviews data from 2005 to 2016 and assesses absolute reductions to date, performance against targets, and projected emissions out to 2020 both for the sector as a whole and individually for all HEFCE funded universities and colleges.

We are in the process of preparing for our annual carbon progress report using the most up to date figures published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). In order to ensure the findings accurately reflect the performance of Universities, we are making the data available for review.

If you would like to review and / or update the data for your institution, please request the data sheet by completing the form below.

Please then review the data and if you find any errors or inaccuracies, please return the form outlining the necessary changes.

The deadline for submitting data changes is July 14th 2017.

Why should you check the HESA data?
A number of discrepancies were identified by universities with the data used in our previous reports. We want to use the most accurate data in our analysis so invite you to review the current HESA figures.

What is the Brite Green University Carbon Report?
This is our fourth carbon performance progress report for universities. Our purpose is to provide robust, independent analysis of emissions trends in the sector and to provide institutions with tailored information about their performance.

Once again, we will produce a report and performance tables on sector emissions as well as individual reports for each institution. This year’s analysis will also include case studies outlining the opportunities and challenges universities face in meeting these targets.
