London Luton Airport appoints Brite Green to expand their sustainability strategy

London Luton Airport appoints Brite Green to review and expand the airport's sustainability strategy

We have been appointed by London Luton Airport to review and expand the airport’s sustainability strategy. Working with Brite Green over 2017, the airport aims to build on its existing environmental management and strong community programmes to develop an integrated sustainability strategy.

London Luton Airport is one of the UK's largest airports and carried 14.5 million passengers in 2016. The airport indirectly employs over 9,400 staff and is a key economic driver for the region.

Home to 14 airlines including easyjet and Ryanair, the airport’s network serves more than 130 destinations across the world across Europe, Africa, and Asia. London Luton Airport has an extensive growth plan and is currently investing £110million to increase passenger capacity by 50% to 18 million passengers a year by 2020.

Brite Green Managing Partner Darren Chadwick notes:

“We are delighted to be working with London Luton Airport at a time of such significant change and growth. Sustainability is now more important than ever for the airport and for British businesses in general, and continuing to take a strategic approach to sustainability will be key for ongoing success.”
