Viviana is Senior Sustainability Consultant at Brite Green, specialising in corporate sustainability strategy and innovation.
Before joining Brite Green, Viviana worked at the University of Oxford Said Business School, researching corporate strategy, organisational management, and innovation with a particular focus on major projects. She also collaborated with the University’s Environmental Change Institute, with a focus on climate compatible development and governance, ecosystem valuation, and biodiversity.
As Regional Representative for North America, she led the UNEP Convention on Migratory Species operations for the US, Canada, and Mexico. She also served as Associate Director for the Blue Frontier Campaign, and was Chief Financial Officer and Senior Program Officer at The Ocean Foundation. Viviana worked at the Earth Policy Institute researching food security and energy issues alongside Lester R. Brown. She was also an international markets securities trader in Bogotá, Colombia.
Viviana holds a BA in Finance, Government, and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia. She continued her studies in International Environment and Development at American University and Non-profit Management at Georgetown University; and completed an MSc in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford.
Viviana is cofounder and advisor to the Boyd N. Lyon Sea Turtle Fund. She is a member of the Atlantic Council and Ecologic Institute ELEEP (Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy) Network.
